Eric Boggess
CEO, FOUNDER
At Expara, we believe in the importance of balance, especially work-life balance. Our founder Eric Boggess embodies this concept. Eric started his career in IT with a bachelor’s degree in English. Finding himself, in an entry-level IT operations position, and having read William Gibson’s, Neuromancer, Eric knew the Internet was a game-changer and seized the opportunity. He immediately enrolled at Northern Virginia Community College and started his journey toward a Master’s degree in Computer Science. Eric rose through the systems engineering ranks at a small 8a firm. He founded Expara while completing his graduate work at George Mason University.
Along the way, Eric got married, raised two boys who are in college, became a triathlete, and completed his first Ironman in 2013. Eric has also played guitar professionally in the band, The Frontier. Eric continues to train as a triathlete and plays guitar everyday. He is currently working on his first EP.
